OMIGAH it's HOPE!

Thanksgiving time means....

More stuff.
More blogging.
More writing (and finishing up the last chapter and epilogue of "Unspoken"--- yay!).
More food.
More music.
More time with me and my dog (I am petting her with my left hand and typing with my right at this moment).
MY FAMILY IS COMING TO MY HOUSE!!!! FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!!

About the stuff...
So, for my birthday, I got the entire "Dark Kiss" collection from B&BW, plus a shimmer mist that I'm wearing right now. I also got a beginner's guitar book, and I'm not a beginner so I know most of the stuff in the book, but it shows how to read music and I don't wanna learn that but it will be handy when I start playing cello. I got some guitar picks... not as thin as my lucky guitar pick so I can't holepunch them (bummer), but they'll be handy, too. I got some body sprays that smell REALLY GOOD and I'm putting them in my cubby at school--- one for when I first get off the bus, one for after lunch, one for after P.E. My favorite gift was a pair of headphones--- I NEEDED THEM! They're Sony headphones, and it took awhile to get used to the different kind of sound, but they're worth it alright. Earbuds never worked for me... one bud always popped out or something crazy like that, and even though they're more convenient, I'm a music geek that cares about the sound more than anything, so headphones are the thing for me. (note: listen to "Time" by Hans Zimmer with headphones instead of earbuds and it's magical!)

About Unspoken...
I'm working on the last two chapters in the rough draft. The book is moving by quarters. It's supposed to move by school quarters, but I'm really behind because my school's first quarter ended waaay at the beginning of this month, so I need to pick up the pace. Then, for quarter 2, I am taking out a few chapters and typing it up. For Quarter 3 I will have some friends and maybe some teachers proofread it and then I will revise it. For Quarter 4, I will start getting ready to publish and getting in touch with Morris Self-Publishing. And in the summertime, the book will be set to release. Then I will begin work on "The Interstate," and start the process all over for freshman year. My sophomore project will be "On Death's Edge." Then, I'll probably take a break to focus on my junior and senior years of high school and work on my music career. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

FOOD!
I love food soooo much! In fact, I will be posting a recipe on here really soon! Possibly today! And I just noticed today is Thanksgiving, so have a happy one. I'm thankful for Church's Chicken. And no, I didn't get to eat it Tuesday. And I was really looking forward to it.

More music!
I've been looking everywhere possible for tracks for all my Fine Arts Festival stuff. Right now, I'm working on my Spanish vocal solo, "How Great Thou Art", Carrie Underwood's version. It's actually really easy--- It is the first song I've ever done in high key, but despite that the Spanish lyrics are quite simple to memorize. I am also looking for songs for my ASL solo, and am currently torn between "Desire" by Deas Vail and "Who I Am Hates Who I've Been" by Relient K.

For my normal vocal solo, I am trying something else new. It's not in Spanish, and it's not in high key. BUT! For the first time ever, I am doing the music--- myself! I'm playing guitar along with my vocals! The song is "Something Beautiful" by NEEDTOBREATHE. This is gonna be interesting. It's pushing my range a lot, like on one part I have to go really low, and I'm not gonna take the easy way out and sing it the normal way--- I want people to hear how low my vocal range really is! I don't want people to hear the same baby that sang at Fun Arts in sixth grade. I don't want people to hear the same little kid that sang a song in low key and had to stop and catch her breath in the middle of a verse in seventh grade at the Fine Arts District Festival. I don't want people to hear the girl who had to sing soprano notes in "Excuses" every time the lead vocalist wasn't there before Nationals. I want them to hear the message the song has.

Also, if you want, go check out "Take My Hand" by The Cab. I had it on replay for around three hours last night and am still not tired of it! And check out "Go to the River" by Yael Naim. She's an indie folk artist, but trust me, you've heard a song or two by her (like this one that was on a lot of Apple commercials: "I'm a new soul...").

And, I'm working on a cover of "Lovers in Japan" by Coldplay. I've got the guitar chords down, all except for G. I don't think I'll post it on YouTube, but maybe. Besides, I don't wanna be one of those annoying commenters that say "I don't think anyone will see this but someone will see this..."

Good news!
My family is coming to my house this Thanksgiving! Yay! I can't wait for them to see my guitar and ferret calendar (don't ask...) and string bass/cello and autographed Deas Vail poster and random church pew... yeah. Excited.

So... see ya later.

Excuses!

Six months of the same old song means it's about time I've written the lyrics out--- online.

Excuses

Bring yourself and no one else,
You come alone or don't come at all.
This is your chance to believe in... something more than walls and ceilings.
Your saving face to be on Your way in!

Come on, come on!
Don't wait until the damage is done.
It's gone when it's gone!
Don't you wanna know what we could become?
On and on we run from life!
It's time we chase the smoke of our guns and we make this right.

Save yourself, now don't be scared,
I'll do my part and be right there.
I will probably come out running...
WITH EXPLODING BUILDINGS RIGHT BEHIND ME.

Come on, come on!
Don't wait until the damage is done.
It's gone when it's gone!
Don't you wanna know what we could become?
On and on we run and we run from life!
It's time we chase the smoke of our guns and we make this
RIGHT......!

Come on, come on!
Don't wait until the damage is done.
It's gone when it's gone,
Don't you wanna know what we could become?
Come on, COME ON!
Don't wait until the damage is done.
It's gone when it's gone,
Don't you wanna know what we could become?
On and on we run and we run from life.
It's time we chase the smoke of our guns
And we make
This
Right.

You Missed Me???

I'm BAAAAAACCCCKKK! Oh, so many good memories from Phoenix 2011. The Big Monkey Man (I'll explain that later), Tracey the Tree (that one will need some serious explaining later), performing, and swimming... good memories that just can't fit in one blog post. They just can't.

It's crazy. I woke up this morning in Phoenix, Arizona. I ate lunch in Denver, Colorado. Right now I am blogging from Dayton, Ohio. Some crazy stuff.

I didn't blog all week because:
  1. I desperately needed a break
  2. I was too busy having fun with the acquaintances whom I now call my friends
  3. Wi-Fi wasn't working the first day
  4. Time change was really messing me up...
  5. Performing and attending service.
See! Those are all legitimate reasons! Here's some sad stuff, though.

Relient K. My hotel. The day after I leave.
Who loves Relient K? This girl! Well, this fan of the band found out that they walked the same halls that their favorite musicians are about to walk. Josh was wearing a Relient K shirt and well, Nathan saw some hotel lady and she was like, "Were you wearing a Relient K shirt?" and he was like, "No, that was my brother" and she was like, "Well, those guys are coming [to San Carlos hotel] after the Warped Tour for a little after-party on Sunday."

So, Nathan told me about this. "You know, the Relient K guys are staying in OUR hotel---" (I gasped...) "On Sunday." (...I sighed.) Problem with that? We left the hotel today. No Matt Thiessen for this girl *whimpers*.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T!
Some airport guy called me "sir" today. I may have really short hair, but I'm pretty sure I look like a girl.

Waiting for a train....
You know I love my "Inception"! Well, downtown Phoenix has a lot of urban trains (kinda like subways, but above the ground) that are always going. Every time one passed, I was like, "You're waiting for a train. You know where you hope it will take you. But you can never be for sure..." Trains passed so often, the last time I said it, it was, "You're waiting for a train. You know---"
"HOPE!" People cut me off before I could finish. Told ya, I get annoying after a while.

"The History kids are coming, they're coming down the street..."
The History kids song. Brings back amazing memories. Well, it's always been an inside-the-History-club thing, but when I took my seat on the plane next to Nathan (who was not in the club), I heard him start singing:
"The History kids are coming. They're coming down the street. There's Robbie, Mark, and Jonathan and Hope and Hannah and Maria and Caitlin and Faith".
I was just like, how does he know that song??? Turns out, Mark was singing it on the escalator and that's how Nathan knew it.

The National Fine Arts Festival Diaries.
Want more? Can't get enough of Phoenix 2011? I'll spill two things:
  1. Fine Arts (Nationals) will be held in Louisville, Kentucky next year. Come on... why not Honolulu???
  2. Next year's STL/FAF theme will be "Relentless".
Still need more? Don't worry, more is coming--- more is coming, and you will hear everything from a day-to-day basis--- exactly what happened on each particular day (including a Matthew West performance). You'll just have to wait and see.

I already miss Phoenix. I spilled lemonade on my pants back in Ohio today and was thinking, "If only I were still in Phoenix, my pants would have already been dry within three minutes". I was at a county fair and passed something that smelled just like San Carlos, the hotel I was in. Then, me and Drew were watching the Disney Channel on the plane today and some kid was standing in front of the U.S. Airways Center--- where our Fine Arts ceremonies and services were held! Then I unpacked my bag today. Looked at some photographs. I couldn't help thinking about the festival and couldn't deny the feeling: I miss Phoenix already, and I haven't even been home for twelve hours. Arizona, I will come back for you!

Last but not least...
Never forget "Excuses".

This song makes me sad now. Not because our band didn't get called back (oops, wasn't supposed to tell you until I posted the diaries), but because it's over. No more Sunday band practices. It makes me sad because of how it united six teenagers plus one twelve-year-old (me) to become a band and maybe even great friends.

It makes me sad because all those memories are no longer being lived.

They're now locked away in a suitcase, ready to be unveiled when the time comes to hopefully ignite a spark, bring back a laugh.

I greatly enjoyed going to band practice every week (no matter how bad practice was). Even if I had the most terrible week, something about band practice lifted my spirits and I never missed a practice, never left one without a smile on my face or joy in my eyes (or tiredness). I could just go to band practice and all the emotions that were holding me back from being my happiest were gone.

Music unites people in a special way. That's why it's wonderful how we can worship God with music. How we can use something we've all grown to love for Him. The FAF band practices are over. But we can continue to use our gifts way past Fine Arts. There's a worship team and so much more.

Everyone has a gift.

Everyone has to ability to DISCOVER, and the determination to DEVELOP. But do you have the courage to DEPLOY?

Music Update!

I haven't talked to you much about the upcoming Fine Arts Festival lately, have I? Nope. Well, here's a small update on guitar, vocals, and the band.

Guitar Princess Became the Queen!
I'm not the queen... yet. But, I learned how to use chords (the little dots mark them, I think...) so now I just gotta find out their names. Like, I know the names (C minor, etc.), and I know that dots mark them, but I don't know how to match up the names with the dots, like, which specific dot is that specific thing. That explains it well.

That one string is still broken. So I've been self-teaching, and it's working fine. My next things to learn are:

  • What the chords are called
  • Do I have to use a pick? (Because I lost all of them.)
  • How do I change my strings by myself, not with my dad's help?
  • How do I tune my guitar by myself, and not with Daddy's help? (It may be obvious that Daddy did most of the maintenance work for my guitar.)
I've got a lot to learn in that area.

All Good Vocalists Have a Great Plan.
I'm a good vocalist, but "NO! I never meant to brag..." I'm just being nice to myself. But I will say that I'm not a great vocalist. So that's why I have a plan.

August is right around the corner, and you know what that means? National Youth Convention month is right around the corner! That also means Fine Arts is right around the corner, too.

By August, a.k.a. Less than two weeks from now, I expect to get out of my comfort zone onstage. I'm too shy (me? Shy? Unbelievably, yes), and that needs to change. I also expect a slightly wider range by the time we perform at Fine Arts.

I have a meter from myself showing where I am right now, who's level I'm on, and where I need to be, and you're so important to me that I wanna show you, so:

  • Right now: Dani Cimorelli (not very good, young voice)
  • August 2011: Amy Cimorelli (wider range)
  • April 2012: Wes Blaylock (REALLY WIDE range--- have you heard him sing? Yes you have--- he's Deas Vail's lead vocalist)
  • April 2013: Lisa Cimorelli (great tone quality)
  • April 2014: Regina Spektor (great range and breathing, I also must be able to make on-the-spot harmonies)
  • April 2015: Find my unique voice, keep my voice articulate.
  • April 2016 (senior year!): Nail the most impressive song I can find and sing it at Fine Arts. I am expected to reach Nationals as well. Aim for District Merit--- SERIOUSLY! Once I reach Nationals, I will try to get called back. If I'm not, that's alright. I will practice my song a maximum of nine times with no lyrics before District Fine Arts. I'm expected to be able to perform most genres of music. I'm expected to have a very strong and loud voice. I'm expected to have a music scholarship by the end of the year. Good luck.

 Yep. Ya think I can do it???

Fine Arts Festival Band
We're the real cool kids on the block. We're amazing. Everywhere we look around, people are screaming our names:

"MARIAH! BRIAN! NATHAN! MARK! CHRIS! JOSH! HOPE!" (In order of age.)

That's our dream. This is our reality: The audience has better stage presence than us, we get distracted VERY easily by some of the craziest things, some of us (*COUGH* me and Mark *COUGH*) are always quoting Yoga Farm, some of us (*COUGH* me and Nathan *COUGH*) are in love with Deas Vail, the background vocalist (too embarrassed to say who) was clapping off beat at callbacks at DFAF, and somehow Justin Bieber has to do with all this.

And that's just an average band practice.

It's hard to believe ("So hard to believe you're here with me now..." Love that song, it's "Hard To Believe" by VOTA) that the festival is less than two weeks away and we haven't squeezed enough practice in, and WE ALL have crappy stage presence (except for Mariah, maybe).

I really hate "Excuses" by Deas Vail now. It's our song, and every member basically hates that song. Every time I hear it, I just wanna throw my iPod out the window and destroy it for good. Now, Nathan says he loves this song, so he must be a bigger fan of Deas Vail than I am. You didn't think that was possible, did you?

Pray for us. We could definitely use it.

"You know that I could use somebody... someone like you... someone like you, somebody..."

Believe Me, This Is Gonna Make You Stronger...

Deas Vail
Newsboys.
~~~
(I don't own any of the above photographs.) You know these bands because you know their music. You've heard their songs and you've gone to their concerts. You've learned all their lyrics and know every detail about every person. You can find yourself humming, "Come on, come on....", ('Excuses', Deas Vail) or "Wherever we go the bees behave..." ('Wherever We Go', Newsboys). You can't live a day without their music in your life, warming your heart every time "Birds" (Deas Vail) or "Born Again" (Newsboys) comes on the radio.
So you couldn't believe it when you heard the news: They had lost some of their members.
TODAY?!
The months of practice.... now it is the difference between them coming to an end or continuing. If we make Nationals, we may continue to practice. If we don't make it, it is what it is. Okay?
Fine Arts is today and I am so nervous. Pray for me and all my friends and roommates and the band and the human video and the drama and everything!
JUST PRAY FOR EVERYONE!!!!
PRAY FOR US!!!
I Will Never Say Never
Okay... I'm probably really starting to sound like a Belieber now, but this song REALLY inspires me.
Today was the Fine Arts Showcase, and first, let me just say I had butterflies in my stomach, and then "a Brittany song was on..." =P Sorry, it didn't happen that way.
It was a busy weekend for our band. Actually, for Fine Arts period. Yesterday, we had practice from 12 to 2 p.m., and my singing was not that good. Not Samm good, not Mariah good, not Abby good, not Coryn good, not Mrs. Heather good, not Mrs. Jenilee good, not Mrs. Lee Ann good, not Mrs. Donna good, not Justin Bieber good. Not very good.
The drumming was not very.... on beat. Mrs. Sandy tried to tell Brian, and he understood, but he was just like, "I try to keep [a steady beat]... I just can't do it."
"I can't do it."
In my mind, I'm like, "Brian! Never say never!" And then, my singing got all screwed up. In my mind, I'm thinking,
"Dude, I cannot do this. I will never be able to do this. I will never be as good as Mariah, so taking her spot for the showcase is gonna be a disgrace to the band."
I told myself my new motto, "Never say never", but even then, it was like "Never say never? NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER EVER will I ever be able to do this. Ever."
Never? Really, honey? Well, tonight made me and Brian's 'Nevers' seem foolish. Practice before was a little shaky, with Nathan breaking a guitar string, the main one he uses, E, (It's the second one I've seen him break) Josh not knowing how to tune his guitar and his amp making a weird noise, and me with that tiny, quiet voice.
Well, we pushed on anyway. Nathan luckily had another guitar, Josh's noise problem was fixed, and my voice got louder. Never? Really? Never say never.
What turned it around? Justin Bieber music and Pastor Corey and Brian accusing me of having the Bieber Fever? No. I think... it was prayer.
Before we got ready to perform, waiting backstage, the band did a group prayer lead by Nathan (doesn't matter who prayed... just giving details), and when we were ready to perform, Pastor Jay said a prayer when it was the beginnning of service. It calmed down my nerves... and...
There's just no turning back when your heart's under attack. Gonna give everything I have, it's my destiny! I will never say never... I will fight 'til forever... Whenever you knock me down, I will not stay on the ground, pick it up, pick it up, pick it up, pick it up up up... and never say never.
Band Practice :(
Today, we had another additional band practice, and we have our real practice tomorrow, and THEN we have our Fine Arts Showcase. Busy weekend for the band!
My singing today sucked. My voice was going in and out on some parts, and the last time I sang, I was like singing a soprano when I'm really an alto and sounded like I was in an opera.
Okay.... once again, it wasn't THAT bad.
Haven't thought of a band name yet, but the two ones I have in mind are on the polls, so make sure you vote for your favorite one! Kayla came up with "Legitimate Reason" and I came up with "Supernova" after seeing the people from Answers In Genesis talk about the universe.
Tomorrow is the showcase and I'm leading. Oh my gosh.
This is your chance to believe in something more than walls and ceilings... Come on, come on, don't wait until the damage is done. It's gone when it's gone, don't you wanna know what we could become???
So Excited!
Today, I have to ditch Wednesday's Walk because my scanner won't scan in the thing necessary. Well, I guess that leads me to this post.
Well, on Sunday my band is performing and I'm SOOOOOOOO excited! My first and only night as the leader of the band! Luckily, at the actual competition, Mariah is our leader, so no pressure is on me. (Except for I have to perform in front of people I've known for eight years! Yikes!) But this will be so much fun.
My problem? Stage presence. Actually, everyone in the band except for Mariah has a problem with that.
Mariah said we should watch Paramore music videos and follow their example. She's right, after all, Hayley has great presence, same for Jeremy and Taylor and such. But Paramore sure isn't Paramore without Josh and Zac...
Anyway! I just need to work in that area (especially for my vocal solo) very badly.
I am sorry that I couldn't do much today, but check me out tomorrow, and on Friday, we have Victoria Kasten's long delayed interview.
Shout out to my mom: Thanks for the two UNUSED notebooks!
And, if I get to lead next year, since it will be Nathan's and Brian's last year, I want it to be the best, so I have pre-picked "One More" by Superchick or "Thsi Could Be Our Day" by ADDISON ROAD>
It's just my imagination!
Lots of writing to do....
Hope!
"It's just my imagination.... running away with me..."
Lead Vocals!
The day I become Hayley Williams.... sorry, still not there yet.
Well, today we had an extra band practice.
I'm the backup vocals, right?
Well, not today.
So, there was an extra practice as stated above, and two of our members couldn't make it because of school. So this leaves the four members who are on spring break there. Problem... especially when the lead singer is one of the two members missing.
So, the entire first five minutes during sound check, I was thinking Mariah was gonna show up. Turns out, she's not on break. So when I found out she wasn't coming, I was like,
"Dude.... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..."
*Okay, it wasn't that bad.*
So, I went on and sang Mariah's parts anyway. I thought I would sound like a eenie meenie ("miny mo lover...") itsy bitsy ant. Okay, maybe I did a little. (Tiny quiet voice.) But my mic got turned way up (not good, says my dad. It should never be turned up more than halfway) and I actually sounded... good.
Not just good...
IT WAS MY BESTEST SINGING DAY... EVER!!!
Mrs. Sandy said I should consider joining the youth band! Not a bad idea, after all, Mariah is a senior and so is Mary, so we'll be left with no singers after this year.
Well, anyway, I took her spot for one day and the people (The 'people' were Mrs. Michelle, Mrs. Sandy, Brian, NaThAn, IDK about Josh, and IDK about Chris) liked it! I think my singing has become a success!
Mr. Bieber and Miss Williams, another star is rising... (However I'd much rather be a famous author)
Hope!
P.S.! Our band might not perform on the seventeenth of this month because Mariah will be half around the world (I'm not kidding--- she's headed to Paris!) but if things work, then maybe! First, the problem was if I could take her spot, but now, it's if Nathan will have a conflict between ACT/SATs and the showcase. But if you go to my church, make sure you show up! I'll be singing my solo even if our band doesn't perform!
Typical Saturday of an Author
Okay, so I'm not a published author, (yet!) but I am an accomplished blog author, I like to say.
What can a musician's daughter, crafty girl, music lover, and author be found doing on the weekend?
Well, first, they can be found on YouTube...
BAHAHA! My dog does that weird face too. And the music... interesting.
Secondly, they can be found practicing a vocal solo.
They can be found being crafty and decorating a composition book with magazine papers. I'll have to show you mine someday it says "Soul Surfer", "Paramore", (written twice!) "Cheerleading", "Swimming", and it has a huge diaper on it. I'm gonna add more today. It's a fun and easy craft that drowns me in the things I love and makes me smile when I use it!
A music lover can be found jamming out to this...
Keep your eyes on 2:02. I just love the harmonies on this song when they say "somebody to lo-o-ove..." it makes me want to be his backup singer.
(when Jaden says "I was born from two stars..." he really was. Will Smith and Jada Smith. But let's not talk about them... this is a Christian blog!) Please don't ignore this song because it's by a Bieber. It's a really inspiring song. Had it been a Christian song, I'd give it five stars!
And where it says "post a Komment", be aware that this is not my video and that I know how to spell 'comment'!
Anyway, the songs that really inspire me when I write are...
Notice they say "keep your feet on the ground when your head's in the clouds", which is our Spring quote!
I wanna sing this next year for Fine Arts, and it really inspires my story I'm currently writing, especially since it's a Christian story!
~~~~
Our Fine Arts band is doing great! We have a huge chance at Nationals!

Two Weeks Ago....
Brian was waaaay off beat.
Mark showed up an hour and fifteen minutes late because of Maria's Narnia play. (she was Mr. Tumnus!)
Mariah and I were still learning our lyrics.
Chris' bass was quiet, but it sounded good.
Nathan was trying to figure the song out.
Josh was too quiet.

Last Week....
Brian stopped rocking to his own beat and finally got on track.
Mark learned his notes.
Mariah learned the lyrics and has good stage presence.
I learned my harmonies and am a lot louder. (Brian can hear me and Mariah over the drums now!)
Chris' bass is still quiet, but he's doing good.
Nathan is rocking his guitar solo(s).
Josh is strutting his strumming.

we have practice tomorrow, and if our progress keeps going up, we have a HUGE chance at Nationals! (Arizona... how will we get there???) At our first practice, because we were doing so bad and time pressed, I thought Nationals... never. (and it's my dad's 48th bday today! Happy bday, Dad! If you're wondering why it's written in this unlikely place, it's because I'm just now writing it and sticking it in a random place...)

Whenever you knock me down, I will not stay on the ground, pick it up.........

And never say never.

Mispell Munday~Excuses, Excuses...

Welcome to my Mispell Munday about the fine arts of the nation. Our church is having several groups of kids and teens performing, and I'm gonna tell you everything about it. Plus, info about the Sham Rock, and everything you can imagine.
~~~~~
in my lsat psot, i frogot to mnetion the History Channel Alive. i was Rosa Parks and it wnet well. the orgnial paln was for Rosa to hvae a Southern acecnt, but it'd mkae it silly.
Tihs is the snog Kayla tlod me the Fun Arts kdis are diong for thier Human Video.
Tihs is the clwon snog. "This is the stuff..." (for Fun Arts.)
Oaky, tihs has got to be one of my FVAORITE snogs. i lvoe the meoldy, and the lyrics are so maeningful. tihs snog mihgt be for the Fine Arts Human Video. (Fine Arts is the older kids, 7-12 grade. Fun Arts is the younger kids in grades 6 and lower.)
Wlel, enuogh on taht.
ALSO... Remember to pray for my freind. I can't tell you why becuase it's raelly serious and personal. But pray for her.
And, anyway, I wnet to the Sham Rock on Sat. wtih Faith, her freind Autumn from school, Charity, and Baileigh. Smoe others popped up, too. It was at a local museum and it was packed. Also, my song came on.
"Whip it really good!"
"We gon' rock this club, we gon' go all night..."
Tehn, me and Ryan cuoldn't find the rest of the gruop, but we fuond tehm. Kinda awkward... you know... wtih a guy i only knew for abuot an huor.
Kalie can't really do it yet, so if i was in the video, i cuold tkae her sopt becuase it's so easy... well, maybe not easy, but it's simple for me.)
So yaeh. RECORD BREAKER! LONGEST MISPELL MUNDAY!
~~~~~
Okay, I decided not to "Mispell" this part.

I'm in the band! Yeah, the church Christian Band.

I'm a backup singer, which is good enough for me! I'm fine not being front and center, because guess who is???

Mariah!

Who's Mariah? She's pretty new to our church, but everyone already knew her. The church she came from was a huge competitor against our JBQ team. In fact, that church is down the street from Charity's school. And some of those great JBQers came, too.

Blake is Mariah's brother. He was sooooo good at JBQ. He knew like, every question that exists. But he's too old for JBQ now, because he's one grade higher than me. (and he's a football quarterback... OMG that is sooo hot)
Dina is a shy girl who is friends with Mariah's sister.
Natalie is Mariah's sister, who I always get her name mixed up with, even though there's a HUGE age difference.

Mariah is our leader, and she's a great singer. While the boys were learning their instruments and stuff, me and Mariah practiced in the kitchen with Nathan's iPod. I was almost embarrassed singing next to Maraih.

Why?

Because she's such a great singer.

I am... an ant when I sing.
Mariah is... I don't know... an ant-eater?

Or here's a better illustration...

I am... American cheese.
Mariah is... the TOP cheese.

Much better.

Here's our song. I know you'll like it.

1:40 is where I sing. Actually, I sing all the choruses. But keep your eyes on the piano girl, because she's a great example of how I am singing and how Mark is playing piano.

Here's our band!
Lead vocalist--- Mariah
Backup vocalist--- Hope:)
Lead electric guitar--- Nathan
Other electric guitar--- Josh
Bass guitar--- Chris
Piano/Keyboard--- Mark
Drums--- Brian L.

These are the talents we are given. The gifts we use to spread the word. We will shout that Jesus saves until the whole world hears.

"This is the stuff you use."
